Microphone Pinout

The 8-pin connector on the DXmate is compatible with microphones with the Elecraft or Kenwood pin configuration.

  • Pin 1 – Microphone audio, low-Z (~600Ω)

  • Pin 2 – PTT

  • Pins 7 and 8 – Ground

Alternatively, you can connect a mono 3.5mm microphone into the MIC jack.

The PH 3.5mm jack is a stereo output for headphones.

3.5mm PHONES: TIP = Left Speaker, RING= Right Speaker, Sleeve = GND
3.5mm MIC: TIP = MIC, RING= NO CONNECT, Sleeve = GND
3.5mm PAD: TIP = DAH/DCD, RING=DIT/DSR, Sleeve = GND
3.5mm PTT: TIP=PTT/KEY, RING=NO CONNECT, Sleeve = GND
