Operate FT8 with SmartSDR CAT and DAX

🛑 A very common mistake users make when setting up FT8 for the first time on RHR is using Google Chrome Web Browser with the SmartCAT/DAX apps. THIS WILL NOT WORK. You MUST be using the RHR Desktop App in order for these apps to work properly. You can download the RHR Desktop App here: https://update.remotehamradio.com

You can operate any digital mode on RHR, just swap out WSJT-X in this tutorial for whatever software you want to run.

Requirements

• RHR subscription

• Windows operating system

• RHR desktop app

• SmartSDR software

• WSJT-X software

Corrections to the video tutorial

• In WSJT-X - > Settings - > Radio -> Split Mode

  • Change this from "None" and set this to "Fake it".

**Make sure you have the mode set in the console to DIGU and not FT8.
